Philippines kicks off ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ 2024 by hosting Myanmar at Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, but the atmosphere was electric as there was a lively atmosphere on and off the pitch.
As the Title Partner of the tournament, and in addition to providing a booth to give fans a unique AR gaming experience - Mitsubishi Electric is working to enrich the community through football with initiatives such as inviting local children to take part in the Player Escort Programme.
One of the player escorts, Jaime, admitted that he was surprised by his first experience as a player escort, and it made him so happy that he hopes to be a player escort again in the next match.
"I am surprised, i don't know it would look like that. I want to be an escort again next match because you got to be in a really big place in front of a lot of people," said the 7 years old kid.
Rafael, who plays football in defence but is a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan, was absolutely blown away after coming back from escorting the Philippines National Team players. "Very good, amazing, I am very excited," said Rafael was so thrilled that he was at a loss for words.
