On December 12, Indonesia were held by Laos in a thrilling encounter in their first home match of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ 2024 at Manahan Stadium, Surakarta.
While the final result was disappointing to the home fans, the match was actually very entertaining, with four goals in the space of just nine minutes in the first half, before the match eventually ended with a 3-3 draw.
That level of excitement was felt both on and off the pitch.
As the Title Partner of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ 2024, Mitsubishi Electric presented a booth that allowed visitors to take photos with the trophy, as well as giving them the chance to try out the AR Instagram game 'Face Keeper' before supporting their team on the pitch.
The booth was a lot of fun.
In addition, as a community-building initiative, Mitsubishi Electric invited local children as escort kids and provided a behind-the-scenes experience.
One of the escort kids was 10-year-old Yasmine. She walked with the Indonesian national team players and looked very happy.
“Today I am very happy to walk with the national team players, my favourite player is Rafael Struick," she said. She added: “Thank you Mitsubishi Electric for giving me the opportunity to be here!”
In the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ 2024, the next match for Indonesia is away to Vietnam on December 15.
As the Title Partner of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup™ 2024, together with the people of Southeast Asia, we are determined to make this event a success.
Together, we can build better.
