Away from the pitch, the atmosphere was just as vibrant, thanks to Mitsubishi Electric’s fan booth, which offered a range of interactive activities. The AR filter game, a clever combination of technology and football, quickly became a crowd favourite as fans challenged themselves to achieve the highest scores. From photo opportunities to exclusive giveaways, the booth added to the matchday excitement, providing fans with a chance to immerse themselves in the tournament’s festivities fully.
For the youngest supporters, the experience was nothing short of magical. Among the matchday escort kids were nine-year-old Arshad and eight-year-old Mayesa, who were thrilled to walk out with the players in front of a packed stadium.
“I was so excited but also a little nervous,” Arshad said, his face still glowing with pride. “Excited because I got to walk with footballers, and nervous because so many people were watching!” He was equally thrilled about his performance in the AR filter game. “My high score is 90. I’m the best player among my friends!”
Mayesa also expressed her delight. “I was really happy because I got to see myself on TV and stand next to Singapore’s football players,” she said shyly. Reflecting on the AR filter game, she added, “My high score is 30. It’s really challenging, but I’m going to keep playing until I beat my friend’s score!”
