SMD(Surface-mount Device) type IPM

SOPIPM™ is an IPM (intelligent power module) adopting a surface-mount package with easy PCB mounting. It is ideal for small-capacity motor drive applications with limited mounting space, such as air conditioners and fan motors.

Features

  • Optimized pin layout facilitates PCB design and contributes to reduced mounting area including peripheral components
  • PCB mounting has been made easier due to eliminating the need for the coating application process through securing insulation distance between terminals
  • Equipped with a gate drive circuit and control IC with protection functions equivalent to our DIPIPM™. Features a newly added upper/lower continuity prevention interlock function.
  • Equipped with an RC-IGBT*1 to realize highly efficient inverter operation while reducing package size
  • A built-in BSD*2 with a current limiting resistor reduces the number of external components
