Mitsubishi Electric Launches Industrial Automation Service Company in China

Tokyo, October 11, 2012 - Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) announced today that its new subsidiary in Dalian, China, Ryoden Koki Engineering (Dalian) Co., Ltd., from October has begun providing procurement, repair and sales of service parts (maintenance and consumable parts) for Mitsubishi Electric's industrial automation machinery products, including electric discharge machines (EDM), laser processing machines and computerized numerical controllers (CNC). Annual sales of 1.5 billion yen are targeted by fiscal 2015.
Ryoden Koki Engineering (Dalian) will enhance after-sales service in China at a time when EDMs, laser processing machines and CNC machine tools are being installed at an increasing rate due to the expanding operations of Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean enterprises in China. Mitsubishi Electric will leverage the service know-how of Ryoden Koki Engineering, its wholly owned service subsidiary in Japan, to strengthen service capabilities in China, and to expand local procurement of service parts for enhanced service and greater customer satisfaction.
Ryoden Koki Engineering (Dalian) will also serve as a global supply base for service parts of products made in China. Mitsubishi Electric plans to greatly expand its maintenance business in China through local after-sales servicing.
