Mitsubishi Electric to Strengthen Solutions for Automation Control in Overseas Social Infrastructure Market
MC Works64 SCADA software features 64-bit 3D graphics and is capable of displaying plant system configurations in 360-degree perspectives. It also contains MC AppBuilder, a feature allowing users to easily set up and carry out the monitoring of plant systems and energy consumption. MC AppBuilder combines a variety of features for superb ease of use and functionality: a database with which users can easily file and sort information on graphics like symbols and faceplates, control programs such as programmable logic controller (PLC) function blocks and various types of communication interfaces; and functions to automatically generate monitoring screens, PLC programs and OPC communication settings. MC AppBuilder is expected to lead to substantial reductions in engineering and system setup costs for system integrators.
"This concept will significantly reduce a user's total cost of ownership, and will become the one-stop solution package in the social infrastructure market," said Satoshi Matsushita, Group Vice President and General Manager of Overseas Marketing Division, Factory Automation Systems Group, Mitsubishi Electric.
Mitsubishi Electric will showcase MELViz iQ PlantSuite and MC Works64 as the optimum solution for water treatment plants at Singapore International Water Week 2012 from July 2-4, one of Asia's largest water treatment exhibitions.
