The Schaeffler Group is a leading global supplier to the automotive and industrial sectors. Its portfolio includes high-precision components and systems for engine, transmission, and chassis applications as well as rolling and plain bearing solutions for a large number of industrial applications. Schaeffler is putting Industry 4.0 into practice – for increased customer benefit, sustainability, and efficiency. Our smart mechatronics, sensorised components and digital services provide solutions tailored for various industrial applications.
The SmartCheck from Schaeffler is a compact, innovative, modular online measuring system for continuous monitoring of machinery and process parameters on a decentralized basis. It can be used for production and/or building where such monitoring was previously too costly or requiring constant hand monitoring devices.
The Concept2 lubricator has a very compact design. It has one or two pump bodies that can be individually controlled, depending on the design. This means it can supply one or two lubrication points with lubricant. LC units are available in the size 250 cm3. The lubricator is supplied with power either from a battery or via a power supply unit. It can work independently or can be optionally controlled by an external control system.
The SmartQB from Schaeffler paves a new way to enter the world of condition monitoring for everyone! The plain text messages automatically generated from the vibration data on the 7-inch display are a genuine innovation on the condition monitoring market.
For our customer an individual monitoring system was setup by using the Schaeffler SmartCheck device. The monitored data was integrated into the customers' control system, where he can use the values for further purposes, e.g. data analytics, trending etc. With this solution the customer can ensure water supply without interruption due to unexpected breakdowns. With the “Drive Train 4.0” technology demonstrator, Schaeffler has developed a basic concept for the digitalization and monitoring of motor-gearbox applications, which represents a wide range of drives found in all performance classes and applications. The concept connects existing technology with digital services. In this way, we are taking a significant step towards the future of machine monitoring.
Experts from Schaeffler monitor the condition of thousands of machines and plants. Analysis, prediction, and optimization are completed using new algorithms and cognitive methods. Irregularities and calls for action are flagged and corresponding measures are put in place.
With the “ConditionAnalyzer” digital service, the operator or maintenance technician can monitor the condition of individual bearings or complete units from anywhere in the world via an internet connection. He or she then receives a plain-text notification about the damage that has been analyzed and can call on Schaeffler’s experts for assistance via remote analysis.
