Nanyang Polytechnic provides an industry-oriented education for both the pre-employment learners and adult learners. For almost three decades now, we have earned and built our name as an industry-centric polytechnic. We have kept our view firmly focused on industry relationships and partnerships, not only to co-develop curricula and train the next generation workforce, but also to help our partners find solutions to their issues.
NYP offers Pre-Employment Training (PET), Continuing Education and Training (CET) and a wide range of SkillsFuture courses. Our quality programmes equip adult learners with the knowledge and training to contribute to the technological, economic and social development of Singapore. Nanyang Polytechnic's Centre for Industry & Lifelong Learning (CIL3) collaborates with government agencies and industry to identify SkillsFuture and CET courses for the workforce in key priority areas. Our full-time and part-time courses are industry relevant and cater to different spectrums of the adult learning community – from fresh graduates to working professionals across various sectors seeking to upgrade themselves or switch careers.
Nanyang Polytechnic works closely with our industry partners on providing real-world solutions through collaborations in areas of research & development, talent development and the licensing of intellectual property through our national technology and training centres in areas like advanced manufacturing, electronics, healthcare, food services, and retail transformation. Among these are the Automation & Robotics Innovation Centre (ARiC), Additive Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC), Centre of Innovation for Electronics & IoT (COI-EIoT), Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS) and Asian Culinary Institute (ACI) Singapore – which are anchor providers for continuing education and training in the Advanced Manufacturing, Electronics, Retail, and Food & Beverage Services industries respectively.
In addition, we also head Singapore’s National Centre for Workplace Learning (NACE). NACE draws on expertise from our partners in Switzerland and Germany to cement staff’s learning and translate skills into workplace effectiveness.
