The Monitoring System for Rail Car Rooftop allows you to monitor the conditions of the pantographs, a.c. devices, and outdoor equipment on the car roof from the display of PC in the office. The CCD cameras takes photographs of the roofs of cars that are entering the depot. The personal computer (PC) in the office stores those photographed images as still and moving images.
The color CCD cameras, lights, and sensors, which are to be installed in the depo-entering line, take photographs of the passing train from the upper-slanting position.
The photographed images are stored in the PC in the office according to the arragement of the train. The inspector can replay and check those images contrinuously or frame by frame. The PC stores the photographed images of the pantographs and the a.c. devices as still images so that the inspector can easily visual-check them.
